Can you go jogging with a phablet either in your pocket or on your arm ?
Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly difficult to buy a smartphone which is not a phablet, so those of us who like to run with a phone for music or safety (or to take selfies during your run, but if you do this I’m judging) need to make it work one way or another. There are many armbands on the market to fit large phones,so that is an easy solution if armbands are comfortable for you.(I wouldn’t worry about the weight of a phablet; I run with 20 oz of water most of the summer, and I don’t have upper body strength by any means).
As for putting the phablet in your pocket, that is more difficult. You want a pocket large enough to hold the device, but not so large that it jostles around; a pocket with a zipper is ideal. I haven’t been able to find such shorts for women (jackets, yes, but this doesn’t work in the summer), but there may be men’s shorts with large enough zip pockets.
Another option is to use a stretchy fanny-pack-like implement,These can stretch to accommodate large devices, and they won’t flap around if the belt is sufficiently tight.
